Patient Feedback
"I developed terrible anxiety after being mugged 3 times in the space of a year, I feared walking alone. I tried therapy but it didn't work, I was always on edge till I tried medicinal cannabis. It calms me enough to function well and I love that it does not interfere with my day-to-day life."- Zanele

Treating Nausea and Vomiting with Medicinal Cannabis
with Dr Anton Janse van Rensburg

Is Cannabis Right for your Patient?

Medicinal Cannabis can be prescribed for:

 Anxiety
Anxiety is characterised by intense, excessive and persistent worry and fear about everyday situations. Symptoms may include increased heart rate, rapid breathing, sweating and feeling tired.

Insomnia
Most cases of insomnia are related to poor sleeping habits, depression, anxiety, lack of exercise, chronic illness or certain medication. Symptoms may include difficulty falling or staying asleep and not feeling well-rested. Treatment for insomnia consists of improving sleep habits, behaviour therapy and identifying and treating underlying causes.

 Endometriosis
A disorder in which tissue that normally lines the uterus grows outside the uterus, causing severe pain.

Chronic Pain
This includes rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, psoriatic arthritis, trauma-induced chronic pain, fibromyalgia, and others.

Spasticity
This includes conditions like multiple sclerosis and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis which cause spasticity.

Chemotherapy-Induced Nausea and Vomiting (CINV)
Nause and Vomiting as a result of cancer treatments can be managed with medicinal cannabis.

Seizures
Medicinal cannabis is well documented in playing a part in seizure management and reduction.

Why Full-Spectrum, GMP Cannabis?
The cannabis plant contains more than 100 terpene compounds that enhance the effect of cannabis described as the ‘entourage effect’. It is thus advisable to use full-spectrum medicinal cannabis over its synthetic or hemp-derived counterparts.
