A doctor's case for medical marijuana | David Casarett

Physician David Casarett was tired of hearing hype and half-truths around medical marijuana, so he put on his skeptic's hat and investigated on his own. He comes back with a fascinating report on what we know and what we don't -- and what mainstream medicine could learn from the modern medical marijuana dispensary.

Take a look at the world-class facility of FarmaGrowers, responsible for growing some of the medicinal cannabis IntroCann is able to provide.

Is Cannabis Right for your Patient?

Medicinal Cannabis can be prescribed for:

(NEW) Endometriosis
A disorder in which tissue that normally lines the uterus grows outside the uterus, causing severe pain.

(NEW) Insomnia
Persistent problems falling and staying asleep. Most commonly related to poor sleeping habits, depression, anxiety, lack of exercise, chronic illness or certain medication.

Chronic Pain
This includes rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, psoriatic arthritis, trauma-induced chronic pain, fibromyalgia, and others.

Spasticity
This includes conditions like multiple sclerosis and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis which cause spasticity.

Chemotherapy-Induced Nausea and Vomiting (CINV)
Nause and Vomiting as a result of cancer treatments can be managed with medicinal cannabis.

Seizures
Medicinal cannabis is well documented in playing a part in seizure management and reduction.

Why Full-Spectrum, GMP Cannabis?
The cannabis plant contains more than 100 terpene compounds that enhance the effect of cannabis described as the ‘entourage effect’. It is thus advisable to use full-spectrum medicinal cannabis over its synthetic or hemp-derived counterparts.
